Police Seek the Public's Help in Identifying Theft from Auto Suspects

Newark Public Safety Director Brian A. O’Hara requests the public’s help in identifying the below-pictured male suspects in connection with a theft from auto that occurred in the 100 block of Brill Street, on Wednesday, May 17, 2022.

A victim, who left his vehicle unlocked at approximately 5 p.m., returned to find the vehicle ransacked and his wallet missing. The victim’s wallet contained four credit cards. Detectives investigating this incident obtained surveillance footage of the below individuals using the victim’s credit card at various businesses. We seek the public’s help in quickly identifying these suspects as part of this investigation. Both suspects are known to frequent the area of Heller Parkway and North 6th Street.

Director O’Hara urges anyone with information on the identity of either of these suspects to call the Division's 24-hour Crime Stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).  All anonymous Crime Stopper tips are kept confidential and could result in a reward.
