Week of May 30 - June 3, 2022

• There will be no construction activities on Monday, May 30th in observance of the Memorial Day Holiday.
• On Tuesday, May 31st, Earle Asphalt will begin sanitary sewer utility mark outs and saw cutting the roadway on Witherspoon Street in prep for excavation.
• Starting Wednesday, June 1st, sanitary sewer utility installation will occur. Construction will start at the intersection of Witherspoon Street and Hulfish Street and continue north towards Paul Robeson Place. The sanitary sewer main trench will be protected with roadway plates at the end of each workday. The trench will be backfilled and paved on Friday, June 3rd.
• Motorists are encouraged to avoid the area and follow detour signs.
• Constructions hours are permissible from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

• There will be an alternating traffic pattern on Witherspoon Street with the use of flaggers Tuesday-Friday, May 31st - June 3rd.
• The intersection of Hulfish Street and Witherspoon Street will be closed Wednesday, June 1st for sewer installation and Friday, June 3rd for backfill and paving.
• Access for local traffic to Palmer Square, Hulfish Parking Garage, and the Griggs Corner Lot will remain open via Hulfish Street from Palmer Square East or Chambers Street.
