Albany County’s COVID-19 Dashboard reported today that there were 102 new positive cases overnight in the County, which raised the County’s COVID-19 cumulative pandemic total to 72,393 positive cases.  The County’s seven-day average of new daily positive cases decreased from 153.3 to 148.8 cases.  The number of County residents in the hospital overnight due to COVID-19 symptoms remained at 48 patients, with six patients in the ICU.  The County DOH’s pandemic death toll remained at 563.
 
The Governor and State DOH are not posting COVID-19 data over the Memorial Day weekend. 
 
There is still time to register for the Town’s 2022 Summer Camp program which will run this summer from Monday, June 27 to August 5. About a handful of camps have reached capacity with waiting lists. Swim lessons are also very popular with the second two-week session at capacity and some spaces available in the first and third sessions.

The digital brochure  has nearly 100 sporting activities, swim lessons, day camps, hobbies, fitness options, and cultural, historical and special events.  Most activities will again be held outside in covered pavilions at Tawasentha Park or the Western Turnpike Golf Course.  You can register online at www.guilderlandrec.com or in-person at the Parks & Rec’s office at 181 Route 146 (across from Tawasentha Park).  You can also call the Parks & Rec office at  518-456-3150 if you have any questions.
 
The Tawasentha Park Pool is scheduled to open for the 2022 Summer Season on Saturday, June 18, weather permitting.  The open swim hours are Noon to 7pm on weekdays and 11:30am to 7pm on weekends.  The adult lap swim (15 years of age and older) are Monday to Thursday from 11am to Noon and weekends from 10am to 11:30am.   Please review the pool’s webpage for more information.
