INCIDENT: FATAL TRAFFIC COLLISION

VICTIM: Male Adult (name withheld pending notification of next of kin)
On Sunday, May 29th, 2022 at about 8:28 PM, Pomona Police Officers responded to area of Towne Ave and Alcott St reference an injury traffic collision. Responding officers discovered an adult male pedestrian down in lanes of traffic; he was unresponsive. The pedestrian was transported via ambulance to a nearby hospital, but succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The male driver in this collision was identified at the scene, and is cooperative. The Pomona Police Department’s Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating this collision.
