Incident: Fatal Injury Traffic Collision

Occurred Time Approximately 5:50 PM
Location: Glen Eagle Drive, west of Country Club Drive
Suspect: N/A
Incident Summary:
On the above date and time, Petaluma PD officers responded to a report of an injury collision on Glen Eagle Drive and Country Club Drive. Petaluma Fire Department personnel arrived and located the driver trapped underneath her own vehicle. The victim was conscious and alert at the time. Petaluma Fire Department personnel were able to free the victim from the beneath the vehicle who was transported to the hospital. The victim later succumbed to her injuries. Preliminary investigations show that the victim’s vehicle had somehow rolled out of a driveway, onto Glen Eagle Drive and started down a hill. The victim attempted to give chase, fell to the ground and was ran over and became trapped. There are no other known involved parties at this time. The identity of the victim, a 72-year-old, female is being held pending a notification to family members.
