Media Release: Welfare Check on Pleasant St

Subject: Welfare Check
On 05/31/2022 at 1:00 pm the Sun Prairie Police Department were called to the area of Pleasant St. and Harmony St., for a report of an armed suicidal subject inside a residence. The subject had been armed with a handgun. Available officers responded to the area to limit traffic and ensure safety to the public. Officers were able to contact the subject who was safely taken into custody. No criminal charges have been issued for this incident.
At this time all streets have been opened in the area.
Assistance was provided by Dane County Sheriff’s Office as well.
