Rental
The AHA assists clients in finding affordable rentals once an initial intake has been conducted and income eligibility has been determined. The AHA issues a monthly list of available Monmouth, Mercer, and Ocean County property listings to clients who meet the rental requirements. Some of these rental properties are managed by the AHA and they conduct the application process; others are rental properties, and you will need to contact the owner or management company directly.
Emergency
The Affordable Housing Alliance (AHA) Emergency Housing for Homeless Adults provides shelter and services to Monmouth County residents. Eligible residents can stay at the center for a maximum of 30 days. During those 30 days, residents are given access to job placement assistance, transportation, health services, and mental health assessments. In addition to the above-mentioned services, the Emergency Housing for Homeless Adults center provides daily hot nutritious meals, internet access, and monthly workshops.
Housing Rehabilitation Program
Handling the housing rehabilitation programs for multiple municipalities, the AHA ensures the home improvement needs of qualified low-income households are met with quality work and compassionate care. We work with the municipality, the homeowner, and the contractors to ensure a smooth and timely process.
Utility Assistance
In addition to providing affordable housing solutions the AHA, working together with different Affiliate Agencies in New Jersey, manages several programs that help those seeking relief in paying their utility bills.
