Forecast for Severe Thunderstorm
Here’s an update from the National Weather Service concerning the forecasting of severe thunderstorms from a potential tropical cyclone beginning Friday afternoon/evening, through Saturday afternoon here in South Florida. There is a threat of heavy rain in our area (approximately 6-9 inches) with some possible flooding. It is also anticipated that we may have wind gusts between 40-60 mph, possible tornados in our region, and we may experience damage to trees, power lines, and unsecured outdoor items. Please use caution if you experience flooding around your home and on local streets, avoid downed power lines and trees. You should take precautions to secure items that are susceptible to heavy wind gusts. We will keep you posted if conditions change. Be Safe!
