On Sunday, June 5, 2022 Garwood in conjunction with the Greater Westfield Area Chamber of Commerce will once again hold the Garwood Rocks Street Fair from 11:00am - 6:00pm.  As we have seen in previous years, this promises to be a large community oriented event consisting of a large car show with nostalgic, vintage, and custom vehicles, displays by local and county Emergency Service and our Fire Service units.  In addition to these displays there will be music for all ages and of course venders with plenty of great food.
 
The event will take place on Center Street from South Avenue to Hickory Avenue and also on the 300 block of Beech Avenue.  The event will necessitate the closing of the previously mentioned streets from approximately 7:00am – 7:00pm.  No vehicular traffic other than those involved in the event, will be allowed on closed roadways.  Parking restrictions will be clearly posted.  This may cause a minor inconvenience for some.  For those of you residing on the south side – some of you will see barricades set up at the end of your blocks to prohibit vehicular traffic, please be assured that access to your homes will be available and local traffic can come and go as necessary via East and West Streets.  Officers will be cruising the area to assist with traffic, but I would ask that if you have to move a barricade, you then return it to its original position.  I would also request that those residents on Center Street and the 300 block of Beech Avenue as well as the 400 blocks of Hazel and Hemlock, plan ahead and park your vehicles on a side street. Access across the south side of town can be gained via Pine Avenue which will have an officer present all day.
