Narrative:
At about 6:50 a.m., deputies responded to a suspicious circumstances call. The caller reported possible human remains in a trash enclosure near the 300 block of Townsite Promenade in Camarillo. Major Crimes detectives are on scene investigating.
The Ventura County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed the remains found are human. The incident is being treated as a homicide investigation.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s assistance and requesting anyone with videos or photographs from the incident to upload files to investigators at https://venturasheriffca.evidence.com/axon/citizen/public/camarillohumanremainsfound.
