INCIDENT: PC288.3- Contacting a Minor to Commit a Felony
LOCATION: 7000 Block of Dumosa Avenue, Yucca Valley, CA.
SUSPECT(S): Charles Thomas McCormick, 72-year-old male, resident of Yucca Valley, CA.
VICTIM(S): 14-year-old female
SUMMARY: On Sunday, May 29, 2022, at approximately 6:00 p.m., deputies assigned to work in the town of Yucca Valley were dispatched to a report of Charles McCormick soliciting an underage female. Deputies arrived and began the investigation. It was learned McCormick made sexual solicitations to an underage female, using social media outlets.
On Friday, June 3, 2022, at approximately 1:00 p.m., deputies arrested Charles McCormick in his home. McCormick was booked at the West Valley Detention Center, with bail set at $50,000.00.
