Two People Arrested During SLA Inspection
Suffolk County Police arrested two people during a New York State Liquor Authority Inspection at a Huntington Station deli last night.
In response to numerous community complaints, Second Precinct Crime Section officers, in conjunction with Second Precinct Community Support Unit officers, Second Precinct Patrol officers, New York State Liquor Authority Investigator, Town of Huntington Fire Marshall, and Town of Huntington Code Enforcement, conducted an inspection at Yary’s Deli, located at 1962 New York Ave., at approximately 9:45 p.m.
Randall Placido-Gonzales, 20, of Huntington Station, the manager of the deli, was charged with Possession of a Gambling Device, a Class A Misdemeanor. Karla Osorio, 45, of Huntington Station, was charged with Unlawfully Dealing With a Child 1st Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, for selling alcohol to an underage individual. She was also charged with False Personation, a Class B Misdemeanor, for intentionally misrepresenting her name to a police officer. In addition, six gambling machines and one cash counter were seized as evidence.
The New York State Liquor Authority issued seven SLA Violations and The Town of Huntington Fire Marshall issued two violations to the establishment. Town of Huntington Code Enforcement will issue violations at a later date to the establishment, as a result of their investigation.
The arrestees will be arraigned at a later date.
A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
