#LASD DUI Checkpoint Nets 5 Arrests in #Lynwood

5 Arrested at Lynwood DUI Checkpoint

Lynwood, Calif. – On Friday, June 3, 2022, One (1) driver was arrested for DUI at a DUI checkpoint.
The DUI checkpoint was held at Imperial Highway and Jackson Ave., from 6 p.m. to 2 a.m.
2 drivers were cited for operating a vehicle unlicensed or with a suspended/revoked license, 1 driver was cited for failing to have children restrained in a child seat as required, 208 vehicles were contacted. 2 additional persons were arrested for willfully fail or refuse to comply with a lawful order of a peace officer.
DUI checkpoint locations are determined based on reported incidents of impaired driving-related crashes. The primary purpose of DUI checkpoints are to promote public safety by taking suspected impaired drivers off roads.
Funding for this checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
