Warning for the following rivers in Kansas...
Cottonwood River near Florence affecting Marion County.
For the Cottonwood River...including Florence, Cottonwood Falls,
Plymouth...Moderate flooding is forecast.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
Do not drive into flooded areas or go around barricades. Nearly two
feet of water will carry most vehicles away. Turn around, don't
drown.
Motorists should not attempt to drive around barricades or drive
cars through flooded areas.
Caution is urged when walking near riverbanks.

...FLOOD WARNING IN EFFECT FROM THIS AFTERNOON TO TUESDAY
AFTERNOON...
* WHAT...Minor flooding is forecast.
* WHERE...Cottonwood River near Florence.
* WHEN...From this afternoon to Tuesday afternoon.
* IMPACTS...At 24.0 feet, Outside the levee system in southeast
Florence, flood waters flow across Park Ave Road and reach the
foundation of a residential home. Northwest of Florence, the
bridge on 140th Road and 1/2 mile west of Highway 77 floods.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 7:15 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 19.6 feet.
- Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
this afternoon to a crest of 25.1 feet tomorrow morning. It
will then fall below flood stage early Tuesday morning.
- Flood stage is 22.0 feet.
