Firearms accidents can result from an unauthorized individual, often a child, finding a loaded and unsecured firearm in the home. The risk of firearms-related unintentional injuries or deaths can be reduced when firearms owners know and fully understand their responsibility to handle firearms safely and securely store them. Grosse Pointe Farms residents may obtain a gun lock for free by stopping by the Public Safety Department at 90 Kerby Road. If you have mobility or transportation issues, we will gladly make a drop-off at your residence.
