INCIDENT: P.C. 25400 (A)(1), Carry Concealed Weapon in Vehicle
LOCATION: Mountain View Avenue / Mission Road, Loma Linda
SUSPECT(S): David Rueda, 20-year-old resident of San Bernardino
Marion Sanders, 23-year-old resident of Loma Linda
VICTIM(S): State of California
SUMMARY: On May 30, 2022, at approximately 12:22 a.m., Deputy Palazzolo from the Sheriff's Central Station, conducted a traffic stop in the area of Mountain View Avenue and Mission Road, in Loma Linda. Palazzolo contacted the driver of the vehicle, identified as David Rueda, who had an odor of alcoholic on his his breath. Palazzolo contacted the passenger of the vehicle, later identified as Marion Sanders, and observed an opened can of beer in the cup holder of the center console. During a search of the vehicle, Palazzolo located a loaded Taurus 9mm gun on the front passenger floorboard of the vehicle.
Rueda and Sanders were arrested for carrying a concealed weapon in a vehicle. They were booked into Central Detention Center and are each being held on $25,000 bail.
