On Sunday, June 5, 2022 (Incident 2022-16502) the West Windsor-Plainsboro Regional School District Superintendent's Office, Plainsboro Township PD, and the West Windsor Township PD conducted a joint investigation into a Social Media Threat/Post. The arduous investigation yielded the following; the "threat" was determined to be Non-Credible and was initiated by a juvenile WWPHS South Student. The juvenile was ultimately charged by the WWPD with False Public Alarms pending a future Mercer County Juvenile Court appearance. Although a False Public Alarm charge has been filed, the incident's investigation remains ongoing and the threat itself was found to be Non-Credible. Subsequently, there was an uptick of police presence at all of the WW-P Schools today.
As with any type of these serious incidents that have been at the forefront nationally, Chief Garofalo wanted to thank our partners (Chief Tavener and Superintendent Dr. Aderhold) for working seamlessly in an expeditious manner.
