Although Monroe Township has not had a confirmed bear sighting, a few of our neighboring municipalities have.  We wanted to make our residents aware of this.  If you see the bear, please call the New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection at (877) 927-6337.  Please also visit their website  https://nj.gov/dep/fgw/bears/bear-encounters.html  for important information pertaining to bears.  As always if you feel you are in danger call the Monroe Township Police Department 732-521-0222.
