County-Wide Crime Suppression Funds Allow Deputies to Conduct Additional Traffic Enforcement in Grand Terrace

LOCATION: City of Grand Terrace
SUMMARY: On Saturday, June 4, 2022, between 5:00 p.m. and 3:00 a.m., deputies from the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department, Central Station, conducted directed traffic enforcement in the city of Grand Terrace. The special detail was funded by County-Wide Crime Suppression funds. The enforcement detail resulted in the following:
- 30 vehicle code violation citations
- 4 misdemeanor vehicle code arrests were made
- 1 driving under the influence (DUI) arrest was made
The San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors authorized funds to assist with County-Wide Crime Suppression. The County-Wide Crime Suppression monies show the ongoing collaborative partnership between the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors and the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department. The program provides additional funding to the Sheriff's Department to provide law enforcement services related to quality-of-life issues that affect the citizens in the County. The intent of the program is to reduce crime, increase safety, and improve the quality of life for the citizens of San Bernardino County.
