One Arrested for Possession of Stolen Vehicle & Other Charges
On June 7, 2022, at 3:48PM, Novato Police Officers responded to Vintage Oaks Shopping Center on a call for service regarding a stolen vehicle. The vehicle was located occupied near Target.
Officers conducted a high-risk traffic stop and arrested 33-year-old, Brandon Reece Clark, a San Francisco resident. “High-risk” traffic stops are typically initiated when a vehicle is reported as stolen and when the stop possesses a significant risk to the officers when dealing with the occupants of a vehicle.
A search of the vehicle was conducted, which revealed suspected Fentanyl as well as numerous suspected stolen items. Clark was also in possession of a stun gun and pepper spray. He was booked into the Marin County Jail for possession of a stolen vehicle, possession of controlled substances and other charges. The vehicle was towed to a local tow yard and the owner was notified.
Thank you to the officers who are actively working to recover stolen vehicles in the area. Since January 2022, the Novato Police Department has recovered 6 stolen vehicles and 4 stolen license plates specifically in the Vintage Oaks area. We continue to work with partner agencies and the community to reduce property theft and stolen vehicles.
