Search warrant leads to stolen property and loaded firearm 
On 6/8/2022, RPDPS Officers served a search warrant on the 400 Block of Alta Ave. Officers had been investigating multiple thefts involving 35-year-old Adam Joseph of Rohnert Park. Prior to the service of the search warrant, Adam Joseph was taken into custody along with an associate, 34-year-old Stephen Kennedy who had a felony warrant for theft. During the service of the search warrant officers located stolen property related to the original theft investigations, a loaded SKS rifle, and burglary tools. A large marijuana growing operation was also being run out of the residence. With the assistance of Rohnert Park Code Enforcement the residence was red tagged, indicating it was uninhabitable.
Stephen Kennedy was booked into the Sonoma County Jail on his warrant. Adam Joseph was placed under arrest for 459 PC, Burglary, 466 PC, Possession of Burglary Tools, 29800(a) 1 PC, Convicted Felon in Possession of a Firearm and 3305(a) 1 PC, Convicted Felon in Possession of Ammunition. Adam Joseph was then booked into the Sonoma County Jail.
