Coronavirus (COVID-19) Eight Hundred Twenty-Fourth Update, Thursday, June 9, 2022
Albany County’s COVID-19 Dashboard reported today that there were 68 new positive cases overnight in the County, which raised the County’s COVID-19 cumulative pandemic total to 73,350 positive cases. The County’s seven-day average of new daily positive cases decreased from 96.8 to 94.2 cases. The number of County residents in the hospital overnight with COVID-19 decreased by three patients to now 33 patients, with three patients in the ICU. The County’s pandemic death toll remained at 565 residents.
State DOH reported that the County’s rate for one vaccine dose as of yesterday was 81.5% of the County’s total population and 92.0% of the adult population, and the County’s rate for full-vaccination was 74.5% of the total population, and for boosters was 63.9% of the eligible population. The State’s rate for one dose was 90.7% for the total population and 95.0% of adults, and the State’s rate for full-vaccination was 77.5% for the total population, and for boosters was 55.5% of the eligible population.
The State’s COVID-19 website reported that yesterday’s results for 122,584 tests Statewide were 6,357 or 4.8% positive, with the seven-day average decreasing to 5.5%. The Capital Region had 4,215 tests of which 246 or 5.9% were positive, with the seven-day average decreasing to 7.3%. The County had 855 tests of which 54 or 6.4% were positive, with the seven-day average decreasing to 7.8%.
In a press release today, Governor Hochul reported the State’s positive rate for tests yesterday (4.84%), and the current numbers for COVID-19 hospitalizations (2,021, -51), new hospital admissions (327), ICU patients (202, +7), intubations (74, +3), and 16 deaths.
On next Saturday, June 18, from 10am to 3pm, the Guilderland Garden Club will host its annual garage sale and bake sale, and also offer public tours of the beautiful gardens at the historic Town-owned Mynderse-Frederick House built in 1802, and located at 451 Route 146 in Guilderland Center.
