Reminder for this weekend: 2022 FAIRFAX FESTIVAL / ROAD CLOSURES / DETOURS / TRAFFIC
This message is a friendly reminder that the 2022 Fairfax Festival Parade and Outdoor Festivities will take place this Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12, 2022. No parking signs, road closures, and detour signs are placed in critical locations to allow the best traffic flow for all. Please ensure you adhere to no-parking / tow-away zones and coordinate your travel plans accordingly, as we anticipate slow traffic and prolonged travel times in and out of Town this weekend.
On Saturday, June 11, 2022, most of the downtown streets will be closed for the Parade around 9:15 am and re-opened around 12:30 - 1 pm. Detours will be in place, but traffic flow will be slow. The bus stop on Broadway will be moved fronting 1900 Sir Francis Drake Bl. during the Parade. No unauthorized bicycles, skateboards, e-bikes, scooters, or rollerskates/blades are allowed on the parade route while the floats are in motion.
Thank you for being so patient! We look forward to celebrating with you this weekend!
