Sheriff's Homicide Investigators are continuing their investigation into the circumstances surrounding the shooting death of a male adult. The incident was reported Saturday, June 11, 2022, at approximately 2:20 p.m. near the 4000 Block of E. Pauline Street in Compton. 

Compton Sheriff Station responded to regarding a person down at the location call. Upon arriving, deputies discovered a male Black victim in his 50’s suffering from a gunshot wound to his torso. 

LA County Fire Department responded and paramedics pronounced the victim deceased at the scene.

At this time, it is unknown what led to the incident.

There is no suspect or suspect vehicle description at this time.
