The contractor for Hudson Townhomes, located at 443 S. Van Buren Street, plans to begin wet utility improvements (sewer improvements) on Van Buren starting on Monday, June 13th, through Thursday, June 16th, which will affect the traffic on the southbound Van Buren between Orangethorpe Avenue and Oak Street.

Parking notices will be placed on the sidewalks at least 72-hours in advance of the start of the wet utility improvement operation. This work will span several days and will require the southbound lane on S Van Buren Street between Orangethorpe and Oak St to be completely closed to traffic for four days from 9:00 am through 3:00 pm. The closure will be a hard closure (i.e. no access to motorists). Detour signs will be posted during the closure. Please see the map for more information.

During the construction phase, the City asks that everyone comply with the temporary no-parking restrictions and leave vehicles parked in the garage, driveway, or outside of the work zone. Please note that on the days of construction, the cars that remain parked on the street within the restricted NO-PARKING zones will be towed at the owner’s expense.
