* At 857 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 7 miles northeast of Marion, or over Lake James, moving east at 20 mph. HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail. SOURCE...Radar indicated. IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines.

* Locations impacted include... Morganton, Drexel, Glen Alpine, Lake James State Park, South Mountains State Park, Lake James, Nebo, Oak Hill, Marion and Table Rock.

* AFFECTED AREAS: BURKE, NC ... MCDOWELL, NC
