Flood Advisory until 06:30AM Tuesday

* WHAT...Flooding of low-lying and poor drainage areas, as well as water over some roads.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Michigan, including the following counties, Kalamazoo, Calhoun, and Jackson.

* WHEN...Until 630 AM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roads in typical places that flood easily during heavy rain.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 1221 AM EDT, Radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain. 1-2 inches of rain fell earlier in the evening, and an additional inch or more of rain is expected over the next few hours. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Kalamazoo, Portage, Jackson, Albion, Marshall, Battle Creek, Eastwood, Springfield, Vicksburg, Galesburg, Parchment, Homer, Schoolcraft, Brooklyn, Grass Lake, Climax, Richland, Burlington, Brownlee Park and Level Park-Oak Park. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles. Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the dangers of flooding.
