A vehicle and grass fire has closed Lafayette Street between highway 101 and Montague Expressway. Traffic is being diverted onto surface streets. Until further notice, please avoid the area or drive slowly and follow the instructions of public safety personnel.
California Highway Patrol and Santa Clara Police and Fire Department personnel are on scene.
