Southwestern Burke County in western North Carolina...

* Until 645 PM EDT.

* At 601 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm was located 6 miles east of
Marion, or near Lake James State Park, moving south at 10 mph.

HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.

SOURCE...Radar indicated.

IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is expected. Expect wind
damage to trees and power lines.

Marion, Glen Alpine, Lake James State Park, Lake James, Nebo, Sugar
Hill, Thermal City, Glenwood, Fero and Dysartsville.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

building.

Torrential rainfall is occurring with this storm, and may lead to
