Heat Advisory until 08:00PM Friday

* WHAT...Heat indices of 105 or greater, and overnight lows in the mid to upper 70s.

* WHERE...Republic, Washington, Marshall, Nemaha and Brown Counties.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from noon to 8 PM CDT Friday. For the Excessive Heat Watch, from Saturday afternoon through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While maximum heat indices are expected to be similar each afternoon Friday through Monday, lows will continue to increase this weekend, and this prolonged period of dangerous heat will begin to compound heat-related health concerns.

* AFFECTED AREAS: REPUBLIC ... WASHINGTON ... MARSHALL ... NEMAHA ... BROWN
