Stabbing On Elizondo Street - **Suspect Identified and arrested**
On June 15, 2022, SVPD Detectives were able to identify and locate a suspect in the stabbing incident from the previous evening. The suspect, a 17-year-old male resident of Simi Valley, was arrested for 664/187 PC - Attempt Murder, and 245(a)(1) PC - Assault with a Deadly Weapon. He was booked into the Ventura County Juvenile Detention Facility.
The suspect and victim in this case had been involved in a previous dating relationship. The victim remains in critical but stable condition at a local hospital.
This investigation is ongoing and anyone with information related to the case can contact Detective VanFleet (805) 583-6182, or anyone in the SVPD Detective Bureau, to provide information.
On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, at about 8:55 PM, the Simi Valley Police Department received a call of a stabbing in the 2000 block of Elizondo Street. When the officers arrived they discovered a juvenile victim in the street suffering from multiple stab wounds. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment. An area check was conducted, but a suspect was not located. Detectives are actively investigating the incident and there does not appear to be any danger to the public.
