Heat Advisory until 08:00PM Saturday

* WHAT...Peak afternoon heat indices from 103 to 108.

* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central and northeast Kansas.

* WHEN...For the Heat Advisory, from 11 AM to 8 PM CDT Saturday. For the Excessive Heat Watch, from Sunday morning through Monday evening.

* IMPACTS...Extreme heat and humidity will significantly increase the potential for heat related illnesses, particularly for those working or participating in outdoor activities.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...While maximum heat indices are expected to be similar each afternoon Saturday through Monday, lows will continue to increase this weekend, and this prolonged period of dangerous heat will begin to compound heat-related illness concerns.
