Robleda Rd Fire Emergency Vehicles On Scene

Santa Clara County Fire Department on scene of a structure fire on Robleda Rd in Los Altos Hills. Crews reporting fire venting through the roof on arrival. Please avoid the area, if in the area follow directions of first responders. 

Incident Commander reporting crews are in the offensive mode, home is 50% involved with fire, and occupants are out of the structure. Emergency vehicles still arriving at the scene, please keep roadways clear.

Reporting crews have made good progress on the fire, nearing knockdown. There will be extensive salvage and overhaul needs on this fire, so crews will remain on scene for some time.

This fire - like any fire in a structure - illustrates the importance of rapid detection and reporting of fires. Working smoke alarms are often the difference between life and death in situations like this. Remember to test smoke alarms once a month!

Santa Clara County Fire Department responded to this incident with 3 engines, 2 rescues, 1 ladder truck, our hazardous materials team, 2 battalion chiefs and an Incident Support Officer. Resources responded from the communities of Los Altos Hills, Los Altos, Cupertino, and Saratoga.
