*UPD* #LASD Homicide Bureau Responded to a Death Investigation, 11700 Block of Fireside Drive, #Whittier
Los Angeles County Sheriff's Homicide investigators are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the death of a 50-year-old Hispanic male adult in unincorporated Whittier. The incident was reported Sunday, June 19, 2022, at approximately 5:30 a.m., near the 11700 block of Fireside Drive in Whittier.
Norwalk Sheriff’s Station deputies responded to a residence in the 11700 block of Fireside Drive in unincorporated Whitter regarding a medical rescue call at 5:30 a.m. today. Upon arrival, deputies discovered the victim unresponsive in front of the residence.
The victim sustained apparent blunt force traumatic injuries. He was transported to a nearby hospital where he was later pronounced deceased.
A person of interest has been detained.
There is no further information being released regarding any suspect or suspect vehicle description at this time.
It is unknown if the victim’s death is gang related.
