During the week of June 13 - June 19, one life was lost to violence. OPD has investigated 52 homicides year to date, 60 this time last year, down 13%.
For the week, there were 40 instances of gunfire, 48 robberies, and 10 carjackings. This year,
OPD officers have recovered 807 firearms.
OPD encourages residents and business owners to consider installing security cameras as well as alarms. These technologies can both deter crime and help solve crimes after they occur.
