Construction is scheduled to begin tomorrow, June 22nd, in the Leonia Police Department parking lot. The construction is expected to last approximately 3 weeks. During that time, there will be no pedestrians or vehicles allowed in the Police Department parking lot. The police cars will be moved into the Library/Wood Park lot in spaces that will be posted with emergency no parking signs. Please follow the posted signs and do not double park in the lot. Vehicles that are double parked or standing in front of the police cars will delay a police response to an emergency. Illegally parked vehicles may be summonsed and towed.

Parking in the Library/Wood Park lot will be limited during the construction. Please consider parking on adjacent side streets, Elm Place Municipal Lot and the Beechwood Municpal Lot.  Also please consider accessing Wood Park from Leonia Avenue or Broad Avenue during the construction. 

Although the Police Department parking lot will be closed, Police headquarters will be open. To access the front door of the Police Department, please use the sidewalk in Wood Park. Do not enter the construction area.
