Chief Moore invites media to discuss Problem-Orientated Police Training at noon on Thursday 6/23/22 at Rotary Gardens.

The Janesville Police Department is excited to welcome Professor Michael Scott back to Janesville on Thursday, June 23rd, and Friday, June 24th.  Thanks to the generous financial support from Spectrum, Professor Scott will be teaching the principles of Problem-Oriented Policing Leadership & Management at Rotary Botanical Gardens this week. 

Professor Scott is the Director of the Arizona State University Center for Problem-Orientated Policing, and a clinical professor in the School of Criminology and Criminal Justice.  Professor Scott was formerly a clinical professor at the University of Wisconsin Law School; Chief of Police in Lauderhill Florida; and civilian administrator in the St. Louis Metropolitan, Ft. Pierce, Florida, and New York City police departments; senior researcher at the Police Executive Research Forum (PERF); and a police officer in the Madison, Wisconsin, Police Department.

Professor Scott and Chief Moore will be available to discuss this exciting training opportunity with the media at noon on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at Rotary Botanical Gardens (1455 Palmer Drive, Janesville, WI).
