Petaluma PD supports Special Olympics Torch Run today and traffic may be impacted.

Petaluma, CA - As part of our community engagement efforts and our desire to give back to our community, the Petaluma Police Department has a long history of support and relationship with Special Olympics.

Today the Special Olympics Torch Run enters Petaluma from Rohnert Park where PPD staff will receive and carry the torch through Petaluma.  Traffic may be impacted along the route from Applebees at the northend to the Veteran's Memorial building where the run will go south into Marin County.  Impacted streets will inclue McDowell Blvd North, East Washington Street, and Petaluma Blvd North and South.

Thank you for your patience and for reducing your speed or taking a different route between 10am and noon to help increase safety.  For more information about PPD's support for Special Olympics visit our website www.cityofpetaluma.org/police.  For more information on how community members can support Special Oolympics go their website here:
