Crime Blotter for the Week of June 12-18, 2022

The following is a synopsis of crimes reported for the week of June 12 - 18, 2022:        
 
 June 12, 2022

  • Arson:
Mel Canyon Road and Royal Oaks Drive.  On June 12, 2022 at approximately 4:18 PM, suspect(s) unknown set fire to the hillside of the area. The fire started approximately 35 feet from the K-rails at MelCanyon Road and Brookridge Road. Per fire investigators the fire was not started by natural causes.  No surveillance video available. 

June 13, 2022
  • Grand theft:
Crestfield Drive and Bloomdale Street. Between June 9, 2022, 8 PM and June 13, 2022, 8:30 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the catalytic converter to the victims parked vehicle a gray 2000 Honda Accord. Loss was approximately $1,600. No surveillance video available.
  • Grand Theft:
2315 Huntington Drive (CVS).  On June 13, 2022 at 5:41 PM, suspects unknown, two female black adults, were observed on surveillance entering the location carrying large tote bags and walking directly to the cosmetic area. The suspects made multiple selections of cosmetics and concealed the items inside their tote bags. The suspects walked out of the location failing to pay for the items. Loss was approximately $2,600. Surveillance video available.   
 
June 14, 2022
  • Burglary (Vehicle):
1193 Huntington Drive (Planet Fitness).  On June 14, 2022 between 5:30 AM and 6:45 AM, suspect(s) unknown shattered the front passenger side window to victim’s vehicle, a red Hyundai Elantra. Suspect(s) stole a black backpack containing miscellaneous items from the vehicle. Loss was approximately $300. No surveillance video available.
 
June 15, 2022
  • Grand Theft Auto:
1210 Royal Oaks Drive. Between June 8, 2022 at 1 PM and June 15, 2022 at 8 PM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victims parked vehicle a White 2019 Mercedes Azzo. No surveillance video available. Vehicle recovered.
 
June 16, 2022
  • Petty Theft:
2500 Block of Elda Street Huntington.  On June 16, 2022 at 3 PM, suspect unknown, a male adult wearing an Amazon uniform, was observed on surveillance walking up to the location and taking a package from the doorstep. The suspect entered a yellow Kia EV6 vehicle and fled the area. Loss was approximately $700. Surveillance video available.  
  • Grand Theft:
2000 block of Broach Avenue.  On 0June 16, 2022 at 4:45 AM, two unknown suspect(s) wearing dark clothing were observed on video surveillance taking the catalytic converter to the victims parked vehicle a 2003 Honda Accord. Suspects fled the area in an unknown vehicle. Loss was approximately $1,000.
  • Grand Theft Auto:
Fernley Drive and Crestfield Drive. Between June 15, 2022 at 10:48 PM and June 16, 2022 at 9:05 AM, suspect(s) unknown stole the victims parked vehicle a white 2017 Ford F650. No surveillance video available. Vehicle outstanding.
