Police and Fire clear of area near 8th St and Marco Ct. 
Update: La Verne Police and Fire have cleared the area. SCE crews remain on site according to the SCE Outage Center sce.com/outage-center/check-outage-status.
Please avoid the area of 8th St and Marco Ct. A transformer struck by lightning has caused a fire on the transformer. This has also caused a power outage in the area East of White Ave, south of Foothill Blvd. La Verne Fire and SCE crews are on site working. There is no estimated time of repair. Please direct power related questions to SCE.
