FELONY HIT AND RUN SUSPECT LOCATED AND ARRESTED
On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, a felony hit and run suspect was identified and arrested by the Simi Valley Police Department.
Last week on June 13, 2022, at 1536 hours, a felony Hit and Run collision occurred in the parking lot of 1464 Madera Rd. wherein a vehicle struck a bicyclist and fled the location. The suspect vehicle was described as a 4-door red Jeep Wrangler with a black hard top that had an inoperable rear passenger-side taillight.
The suspect driver was described as a female adult who was approximately 30-40 years old, thin build, with brown hair, and wore a blue spaghetti-strap top.
In the subsequent week, SVPD officers received several tips from the public. As the officers followed up with these investigative leads, they were able to identify the registered owner of the suspect vehicle. On Wednesday, June 22, 2022, the officers contacted the suspect driver and arrested her for felony hit and run and she was subsequently booked at the Ventura County Main Jail.
The suspect driver was identified as a City of Oxnard resident, Juana Jimenez, 44 years old.
