COVID-19 vaccine appointments for ages 3-5 years old available; My Way Sinatra Sing-off is tonight; Downtown Farmer's Market postponed

REMINDER: COVID-19 vaccine appointments available for children 3-5 years old

The City and Medicine Man Pharmacy and Compounding will host a vaccine clinic with the two-dose Moderna vaccine, for children 3-5 years old on Friday, June 24 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m. Any child three and above, and under six years of age who lives or goes to school in Hoboken is eligible to be vaccinated at Friday's clinic at 605 Jackson St.

Schedule an appointment online at http://www.hobokennj.gov/medicinemanvaccine.

Children ages six months to five years recently became eligible for the COVID-19 vaccine, following approval from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Food and Drug Administration. The City will host additional clinics for children above the age of six months and under six years old next week in partnership with other providers.

According to State regulations, a pharmacist license is applicable to children 3 years old and up for vaccinations. As a result, various pharmacies, including Medicine Man Pharmacy and Compounding, are currently unable to offer the COVID-19 vaccine to children under three years of age.

The Hoboken Health Department recommends parents of children under three and above six months of age, to book an appointment with their child's primary care physician for a COVID-19 vaccine.

Hudson County is also hosting a drive-thru vaccine clinic for all individuals six months of age and up, this week and next week in Kearny. For Hudson County's full schedule, go to https://hudsoncovidvax.org/
