When I mention “the unit block” of a street, this means the incident occurred at an address anywhere between 1 and 99 of the street.
Notable Cases
On Tuesday, 06-14-22, at approximately 1:50 a.m., a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2015 Toyota Prius on the 100 block of Northridge Drive.
On Tuesday, 06-14-22, between 3:00 a.m. and 5:00 a.m., a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2021 Nissan NV200 on the 1000 block of Wildwood Avenue. **Online report.
On Saturday, 06-18-22, at approximately 2:40 a.m., a catalytic converter was stolen from a 2004 Honda Accord on the unit block of Muirwood Drive.
On Friday, 06-17-22, at approximately 3:23 p.m., a suspect entered Old Navy, walked to the men’s jeans display, grabbed a stack of blue and black jeans, and then walked out of the store. The jeans were valued at approximately $1,650. A store employee described the suspect as a Black female, approximately mid-thirties, wearing a tie dye mask, black shirt, black leggings, red socks, and black sandals. This investigation is continuing.
Robberies
There were no robberies during the past week.
Residential Burglaries
There were no residential burglaries during the past week.
Commercial Burglaries
There were three commercial burglaries during the past week.
On Monday, 06-13-22, at approximately 3:01 p.m., three suspects went into LensCrafters inside Macy’s and took approximately $4,000 worth of glasses. The suspects placed the glasses into bags and then left the store. An employee described the first and second suspects as Black males in their early twenties, both approximately 6’ tall with thin builds. The third suspect was described as a Black female in her early twenties, approximately 5’6” tall with an average build, and may have blonde braids mixed in with dark hair. All three suspects wore surgical masks that covered their faces. This investigation is continuing.
Between 5:30 p.m. on 06-14-22 and 6:15 a.m. on 06-15-22, an unknown suspect broke into a storage unit on the 400 block of Eastmoor Avenue. The victim said that the padlock looked like it was forced open. Various Golden State Warriors gear, a Stephen Curry jersey, cleaning supplies, air fresheners, Nike shoes, and an ivory elephant décor, valued at approximately $3,000 were taken.
On Thursday, 06-16-22, at approximately 6:05 a.m., a suspect slid open the doors to CVS Pharmacy on Gellert Boulevard, took an electric toothbrush valued at approximately $170, and left the store. The same suspect returned at 11:31 a.m., used the restroom, and then left the store. At approximately 12:52 p.m., Officer Huynh and Officer Dhaliwal recognized the suspect located next to a truck on Gellert Boulevard and Victoria Drive. The suspect, a 34-year-old Daly City resident, was arrested and booked into jail for burglary.
Vehicle Burglaries
There were three vehicle burglaries and one attempted vehicle burglary reported during the past week.
- Unit block of Caroline Way —tools were taken from a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado. The back passenger window was broken. Occurred on 06-17-22 between midnight and 6:05 a.m. **Online report.
- Parking lot near Fitness 19 —backpack containing a laptop, flash drive, and a Louis Vuitton wallet with $200 cash, credit cards, debit cards, CA driver’s license, and a military ID were taken from a 2017 Honda (unknown model). The front passenger side window was shattered. Occurred on 06-17-22 between 5:00 p.m. and 5:05 p.m. **Online report.
- Parking lot near Dave & Buster’s —suitcase containing designer clothing was taken from a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica. The vehicle may have been unlocked; the rear driver’s side sliding door was completely open. Occurred on 06-19-22 between 9:15 p.m. and 11:30 p.m.
- Saint Francis Boulevard and Crestview Circle —an attempted vehicle burglary of a 2010 Toyota Prius. The passenger window was shattered but still intact. Occurred between 8:00 p.m. on 06-16-22 and 4:00 p.m. on 06-17-22. The catalytic converter was taken.
Stolen Vehicles
There were five vehicles stolen during the past week. Two vehicles were recovered.
- 700 block of Southgate Avenue—a 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. Occurred between 6:00 p.m. on 06-13-22 and 5:30 a.m. on 06-14-22. **Recovered by Broadmoor PD on 06-14-22.
- 1000 block of Wildwood Avenue—a 2004 Chevrolet Avalanche. Occurred between 11:45 p.m. on 06-13-22 and 6:00 a.m. on 06-14-22.
- Mission Street and Citrus Avenue—a 1995 Ford F250. Occurred on 06-14-22 between 2:40 p.m. and 3:20 p.m. **Recovered by SFPD on 06-16-22.
- 100 block of Oakridge Drive—a 2002 GMC Yukon. Occurred between 7:00 p.m. on 06-16-22 and 8:00 p.m. on 06-17-22.
- Unit block of Bellevue Avenue—a 1999 Honda Civic. Occurred between 10:30 p.m. on 06-19-22 and 7:00 a.m. on 06-20-22.
Miscellaneous
- There were 141 cases taken.
- There were 12 domestic disturbance cases reported.
- There were 5 cases involving an involuntary psychiatric hold.
- There were 7 malicious mischief/vandalism cases reported.
- There was 1 case for public intoxication.
- There were 2 hit-and-run collisions reported.
- There were 10 narcotics-related cases taken.
