INCIDENT: 2022-17192 Serious Motor Vehicle Collision, DWI and Vehicular Assault (2 counts)

DETAILS:  On the above date and time a Serious Motor Vehicle Crash was reported to the Communications Center.  The Communications Center dispatched units to the scen where the following had occurred: V01, a white Chevrolet Colorado was traveling south on Old Trenton Road in the area of Pennington Drive.  V02, a black 2022 Genesis G70 was traveling north on Old Trenton Road near Pennington Drive.   V01 entered into the direct path of V02 and a collision occurred in the northbound lane of travel between both vehicles causing extensive damage.  The collision entrapped D1 and his passenger as well as D2 inside of their respective vehicles.  West Windsor Division of Fire and Emergency Services, the Princeton Junction Fire Company, and West Windsor Vounteer Fire Company responded & extricated all (3) individuals.  All involved parties were transported to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton (Trauma) for treatment.  All parties sustained serious non-life threatening injuries.  The roadway was closed for approximately (4) hours.  

                      The investigation revealed that D01 was DWI.  D01 was charged with Reckless Driving, Open Container of Alcoholic Beverages in a Motor Vehicle, and Vehicular Assault (2 Counts).  D01 was released to the custody of the Mercer County Corrections pending a future Mercer County Superior Court Appearance.
