Flood Advisory until 09:30PM Sunday

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southwest Colorado, including the following counties, Dolores and Montezuma.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM MDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Ponding of water in urban or other areas is occurring or is imminent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 335 PM MDT, trained weather spotters reported heavy rain in the advisory area due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 0.75 and 1.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Dispatch reported rock debris on local county roads. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Cortez, Mancos, Dolores, Dove Creek, Rico, Lebanon, Lewis, Arriola, Yellow Jacket, Cahone, Stoner, Towaoc and Dunton.

Instructions:

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood deaths occur in vehicles.
