On June 25 at approximately 6:00 PM, a Hispanic male was on the SMART Bike Path between Southwest Blvd and Rohnert Park Expressway when he reportedly slapped a female pedestrian passerby on the buttocks. According to the victim, the suspect was riding a black mountain bike. He was described as being 18-20 years old. He had dark curly hair and was wearing glasses.
On June 26 at approximately 3:00 PM, a Hispanic male was in the same area when he reportedly slapped another female pedestrian passerby on the buttocks. According to that victim, the suspect was riding a black mountain bike. He was described as being 18-20 years old and matched the description of the previous incident.
On June 27, at approximately 7:00 AM, the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety received a call from a female victim stating that she was walking to work on the Copeland Creek bike path near Snyder Lane when she was chased by a Hispanic man approximately 18-20 years old on a black mountain bike. The man had his genitals exposed and was riding towards her. The victim was able to hit the suspect with an object she was carrying which caused him to leave the area. Officers were on scene quickly however the suspect had fled the area.
The Department is asking for help in identifying anyone matching the description and reporting it to the Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety, (707) 584-2612. The suspect is described as a Hispanic or mixed-race male, 18-20 years old, heavy set, curly hair and wearing glasses. He has been seen in orange shorts with smiley faces on them as well as having a black shirt or black sweatshirt. The bike he rides is a black mountain bike. All information will be considered confidential.
