 The following is a summary of criminal activity in El Cerrito. It does not include all crimes. It also does not include non-criminal events such as missing persons, traffic collisions, non-criminal deaths, non-criminal disputes, nor many other police activities that do not result in arrest.

June 17^th
 
Residential Burglary – 500 block of Everett Street;
At 10:56 pm officers were sent to a call where the homeowner had returned home and found the house had been burglarized sometime during the day.
 
June 18^th
 
Stolen license plate – 1900 block of Junction Ave.
Between 6/13/22 and 6/16/22, an unknown suspect stole the license plate from the victim’s motorcycle. 

Vehicle theft & recovery – 2000 block of Tapscott Ave.
At 9:50 am, an unknown suspect stole the victim’s 1997 Ford Ranger.  Within a couple hours, an officer located it, partially parked on the sidewalk at Key Blvd. / Humboldt St.  The catalytic converter had been stolen. 

Vehicle theft – El Dorado Ave. / Yolo Ave. 
At 4:40 pm, an officer recovered a 2001 GMC Jimmy that had been reported stolen to Albany PD earlier in the morning.  It was located partially parked on the sidewalk.  The catalytic converter had been stolen.
