The City of San Ramon is launching a new Alarm Registration Program, beginning Friday, July 1, 2022. The program will increase community safety by reducing false alarms. Each year, San Ramon police officers respond to between 2,000 and 3,000 false alarm calls utilizing valuable resources.
 
Existing residential and commercial business alarms must be registered for a free alarm permit by September 1, 2022. New alarms must be registered within 30 days of installation. The process is simple and only takes a few minutes.
