Hello Rohnert Park…

The forecast for July 4th, 2022 calls for warm and dry conditions. Fire fuels, including grasses are already very dry in town and in the surrounding areas of our community.  Our area has experienced an early start to grass fires.  There are fires currently burning throughout California due to this early fire season.  Our message, “Please do NOT use fireworks when celebrating the Fourth of July this year”. 

ALL fireworks are illegal in Rohnert Park.  We understand the excitement in celebrating with fireworks; however, we are urging those who planned on using them to think again.  It only takes one spark to light a destructive fire.  You can turn them in to the Public Safety Department or any fire station, no questions asked.

The Public Safety Department will have all personnel working on the Fourth of July to make sure our community is safe.  Officers will be patrolling neighborhoods and will issue citations to people for using fireworks.  Fines for illegal fireworks are $1000.00 per incident, and fines for all other fireworks start at $500.00 and climb to $750.00. 

Please show your support of Independence Day by gathering with your neighbors and celebrating safely while barbecuing and spending time with friends.  Our officers are a good judge of block party eats… just saying!

Should you need to watch fireworks, there are professional shows around the area which families can enjoy.  These shows are put on by Pyrotechnic professionals.  

Nationwide, over 16,000 fires are started by fireworks.  In fact, in Rohnert Park last year, there were 14 fires caused by fireworks.  The dry conditions make it very dangerous, lighting fireworks puts you and the community at risk. 

We are asking you to help keep the city of Rohnert Park safe by not lighting fireworks and finding other ways to celebrate the holiday.  Those who decide to light fireworks will be displaying a lack of respect to our community and our residents.

El pronóstico para el 4 de julio de 2022 prevé condiciones cálidas y secas. Los combustibles para incendios, incluidos los pastos, ya están muy secos en la ciudad y en las áreas circundantes de nuestra comunidad. Nuestra área ha experimentado un comienzo temprano de incendios de pasto. Actualmente hay incendios en todo California debido a esta temprana temporada de incendios. Nuestro mensaje, "Por favor, NO use fuegos artificiales cuando celebre el 4 de julio de este año".

TODOS los fuegos artificiales son ilegales en la ciudad de Rohnert Park. Entendemos la emoción de celebrar con fuegos artificiales; sin embargo, instamos a aquellos que planearon usarlos a que lo piensen de nuevo. Solo se necesita una chispa para encender un fuego destructivo. Puede entregarlos al Departamento de Seguridad Pública o a cualquier estación de bomberos, sin hacer preguntas.

El Departamento de Seguridad Pública tendrá a todo el personal trabajando el 4 de julio para asegurarse de que nuestra comunidad esté segura. Los oficiales patrullarán los vecindarios y emitirán citaciones a las personas por usar fuegos artificiales. Las multas por fuegos artificiales ilegales son de $1000,00 por incidente, y las multas por todos los demás fuegos artificiales comienzan en $500,00 y suben a $750,00.

Muestre su apoyo al Día de la Independencia reuniéndose con sus vecinos y celebrando de manera segura mientras hace una barbacoa y pasa tiempo con amigos. Nuestros oficiales son buenos jueces de las comidas de las fiestas de la vencindad.. ¡solo digo!
Si necesita ver fuegos artificiales, hay espectáculos profesionales en la zona que las familias pueden disfrutar. Estos espectáculos son realizados por profesionales de la pirotecnia.

A nivel nacional, más de 16,000 incendios son iniciados por fuegos artificiales. De hecho, en la ciudad  de Rohnert Park el año pasado hubo 14 incendios provocados por fuegos artificiales. Las condiciones secas lo hacen muy peligroso, encender fuegos artificiales lo pone a usted y a la comunidad en riesgo.

Le pedimos que ayude a mantener segura la ciudad de Rohnert Park al no encender fuegos artificiales y encontrar otras formas de celebrar la festividad. Aquellos que decidan encender fuegos artificiales estarán mostrando una falta de respeto a nuestra comunidad y nuestros residentes.
