The Camarillo Police Department has partnered with 7-Eleven in the 27th consecutive year of “Operation Chill”. The Camarillo Police Department and 7-Eleven have joined forces in recognizing the community’s youth through Operation Chill. This amazing program allows our deputies and professional staff at the Camarillo Police Department to reward children who perform acts of kindness, observing safety rules, participating in positive activities, or performing good deeds. 2022 marks the 27th year 7-Eleven has sponsored Operation Chill. This year, 7-Eleven will issue more than 650,000 coupons to more than 1,200 participating law enforcement agencies across the country. Operation Chill was founded in 1995 in Philadelphia. To date, 7-Eleven has given out more than 24 million coupons. As our deputies patrol Camarillo neighborhoods, they’ll keep an eye out for youth doing great things, like riding a bike or skateboard with protective gear, holding the door open for someone, picking up litter, or helping someone in need. Deputies will make a positive contact with the youth and issue and Operation Chill coupon. Each coupon can be redeemed for one FREE Slurpee at participating 7-Eleven stores. The Camarillo Police Department looks forward to recognizing the good deeds being done by kids in our city and building positive relationships with them. We have a lot of great kids in our community and we have a lot of Slurpee’s to hand out. |
